I thought I killed comments yesterday with my boo-hooish/Sylvia Plath post. That was just the warm-up, bitches!
Today, I'm going to write about a TV show. And, to really send away the cool folks, I am going to write about it in haiku form. That's right. Mutha-Truckin-Haiku.
Why? Because it's my blog, my outlet, and because I am the BIGGEST NERD EVER.
So, without further ado...I bring you my reflections on the Season Premiere of Lost....in haiku form. This may, I shit you not, be a weekly feature.
#1
Benjamin Linus,
Your eyes bulged like large marbles,
At Locke's bad-ass-ness.
#2
Boone came back from dead,
I watched and thought to myself,
"Who cares about him?"
#3
Why is Fu Manchu
The bad-ass of The Temple?
Sailor on Black Rock?
#4
Juliet was cool,
Kate is a pain in the ass.
Sawyer--stay away!
#5
This show is absurd
Four toe statue is submerged,
And yet I still watch
#6
The smoke monster is
The body-snatcher of show
At last an answer.
#7
Sayid is deceased
But wait! Here he comes! The New
Jacob 2.0
#8
I will miss Dharma
Especially the jumpsuits,
Namaste to you.
#9
Instead of the show,
I should solve the oil crisis,
Or take a shower.
#10
If you are reading,
Then, you too see the allure,
Welcome to the cult.
(Join in and write a haiku about your favorite television program. If this takes off, I'll highlight some each week!)

Blogging nerdy? mmmm...
My Hubby says that all those people who belong in social networks and internet writing are losers who don't have a life. I guess he married a loser who doesn't have a life.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I'm your newest follower!
There were so many WTF moments last night. I just don't know. I agree that Sayid is the new Jacob.
I have not a clue in hell what your post is about BUT HEY I still love your writing!
HA, oh no...
you might have me.
I especially love #10...
haiku is 5, 7, 5- correct?
Yes, 575. Come on, it's very liberating. NCIS? American Idol? Glee? The Bachelor? Bring it!
OK, because I love a challenge, I will now give you my first haiku since probably 2nd grade. The topic: Glee (specifically, the character on there who makes my heart melt, "Puck", played by Mark Salling).
I love to sing, dance.
But why did you leave til spring?
Please, Puck, come back soon.
That was fun!

Nerdy is awesome!!!!
I've never seen Lost...don't hate me!
this is awesome. :))))
You are a bad-a mother-trucking nerd! That is totally awesome. I don't even remember how to write a haiku! Three kids later, it's beyond my mental capabilities. I'm like the post-surgery Charlie in Flowers for Algernon.
I wholeheartedly agree - who cares about Boone? Did you catch that that stewardess was now an "other?" Oooohh!
I do not watch it
But in Haiku I must say
You are far gone,girl
Since when is blogging nerdy. LOL Loved the Haiku!
Here's one: Nerdy & Shallow, that's how I roll.
Jake, the bachelor
So many girls to choose from
All sorts of crazy
Booya!
**sigh** I still have not seen LOST, something about kids needing stories, baths, hugs, kisses...I'm so friggin' tired I want to puke...
Maybe I'll employ the toothpicks and hold my lids open long enough to watch it tonight.
You had me completely cracking up!!! This is so funny!!!!
I belong to an internet group where one of favorite things to do is hold haiku contests!
I liked reading yours. Number eight was my favorite.
blogging about Lost is only a little bit nerdier than writing poetry about it.
:-)
Wicked fun.
I am beyond impressed. I find it near impossible to choose words based on how many syllables they have. You've totally impressed me.
I LOVE IT! I LOVE IT!
Or should I say...
A fan I am too
LOST rules our Tuesday night tube
hope for all answers
Housewives are you real?
So many fights between all,
Bring it next season.
That's all I got Nancy. I say, it's your blog girl. If you want to feature something different, just do it. You have solid followers. We will just have to learn something new in that form = )
I don't have much time to watch tv, so i save my tv time for the shows on Bravo and any show that features musical performances; Glee, A.I., the background music of Project Runway = P
May
Love it.
Have you read any Jack Kerouac? I think it was either The Dharma Bums or On The Road that discussed a haiku as not only needing to be 5,7,5 but also should describe an exact moment in time... that it should capture a moment like a snapshot. Or something like that. That's really difficult to do.
Project Runway's Tim
Gunn says the words we all need
To hear: Make It Work!
(Sorry. This sucks. But it's true. For me.)
If blogging is nerdy, I'm in serious trouble :-)
